The scientific steering of society-All in the name of “CHOICE”!

“They” are dismantling the education “system” in America, an education system that created the strongest economy in the world and put a man on the moon. They are replacing it with a new “system” of education. HOW? They convinced you that the old system failed. WHY? Because “they” want to control the US economy. To do that, they must control YOU!

As Robin Eubanks pointed out, in the Soviet Union, the term used for the scientific steering of society is “Upravleniye”. Remember that as we move forward.

In my book, ‘Your Child’s #1 Threat; 21st Century Learning and the Common Core,’ I told the story of my Uncle J.M. who invented the first shrimp peeling machine.

Uncle J.M.’s story is a perfect example of what made America great; innovation (experimentation) coupled with opportunity.

My mother’s family owned a shrimping company called Grand Caillou Packing on Bayou Grand Caillou in Louisiana. My Uncle J.M. is known to the world as the man who invented the first shrimp peeling machine that revolutionized the seafood packing industry around the world. In reality, he was just a kid from Houma, Louisiana. He had a brilliant mind, a good family, and a dream to be rich someday. He had an American dream that came true and has had an impact on not only his own financial success in life but on that of countless others. His dream actually paid for my college tuition.

Prior to Uncle J.M.’s invention, my grandfather’s greatest struggle in the shrimping business was how to pay the folks who peeled the shrimp. You see, “pickers,” as they were known, were paid by the bucket of shells. When shrimp were small, workers produced fewer buckets, and therefore, earned less money. Pickers would often walk out the door when the batch of shrimp they were given to peel was small. Hiring pickers was always a huge challenge because of the tedious job of peeling shrimp. This challenge was exacerbated by the shortage of workers brought about by World War II. The cost of maintaining a full staff of pickers resulted in high consumer prices, which limited the industry’s potential.

So, Grandpa Lapeyre told J.M., if he wanted to get rich someday, he should “invent a machine to peel these shrimp.” Uncle J.M. said that as he was sitting in mass, peeling shrimp was all he could think about. Which, reinforced to me that God had his hand over Uncle J.M.’s first of over 139 inventions.

As J.M. was working at the plant, he stepped on the back curve of a shrimp, and the meat popped out. He went straight home and asked my Grandma if he could borrow her hand-cranked washer. After several smashed shrimp went through the washer, he calibrated the rollers and the meat popped right out. Over the next several years, my uncle, along with my grandfather (Emile Lapeyre) and his brother (Fernand Lapeyre), built a machine in the garage that would replicate the meat popping out of the washer. My grandfather, along with a few other family members, started a firm, began production of the peeling machine, and started leasing it to others.

I read a great quote by my cousin, Jay Lapeyre, in an article that I believe gives insight into the man that my Uncle J.M. was.

“Innovation is a process full of paradox. Innovators have an unusual blend of passionate curiosity coupled with a detached ability to look hard at reality while not predetermining the outcome of what they will see. Innovation almost never happens when you expect it. It almost always requires the due diligence of rigorous preparation, but you can rarely predict or schedule when a breakthrough will occur. You can’t plan discovery. The more linearly we try to arrange information, the more likely that our conclusions will be contrived and forced. It’s generally the accidents that are the most revealing and informative breakthroughs. However, if you just sit back and wait for beneficial accidents to happen, they almost never will.”

After reading this story of a young man with the ability to dream, invent, and revolutionize an industry around the globe, do you think my uncle J.M. would have been free to achieve great things if he had lived in the Soviet Union? Would he have been able to give the gift of dignity in the form of a job to those men and women willing to work, because of the jobs he created, in the UNITED STATES, if he had lived in a communist state?? Yes______ No______

Upon his death, my Uncle J.M. had been issued 139 U.S. patents and over 100 foreign patents. I encourage you to Google James Martial Lapeyre. His inventions spanned every major technical discipline: mechanics, electronics, structures, chemistry, and computers. Through his inventions, thousands upon thousands of people have been employed, and have profited from his amazing mind.

So, when I look at what is happening in our education system and the push to regulate people through governance by rules and regulations, written and implemented by unelected bureaucrats, it is infuriating.

When I read the term “Upravleniye” in Robin Eubanks blog, ‘Invisible Serfs collar’, once again the dots began to connect.

“Evidence-Based Policymaking is simply what the Russians called Upravleniye–the steering of people and institutions by government officials at every level according to prescribed goals and models. Governments want to establish the goals and then force all of us into compliance.”

You see, in Texas, we’ve got a big, big problem. We’ve got 30 something yr. old billionaires who’ve partnered with Bill and Melinda Gates to, as I see it, create this 21st Century Learning “system”. Which is all about INNOVATION. Sounds great, doesn’t it. But remember, the definition of INNOVATION is EXPERIMENTATION.

Now, take the time to watch this short 3 min. video. Then let’s move on.

These people must be exposed for what they are trying to do.

Jeb Bush is a constant figure along with Bill Gates, in all of the “Education Reform”.  Jeb Bush is directly tied into the Aspen Institute. A think tank that is far from Right or Conservative.
In a report Jeb Bush was a Co-Chair of (Learner In a Networked World) they lay out their plan.

They want access to every child in America. That is what Jeb Bush and Betsy Devos’ #SchoolChoice is all about, ACCESS to our children to transform the way they learn. This has nothing to do with Parental Rights or actual choice!!

From the report: Learner in a Networked World

“We can create an education system where instead of time being the constant with learning the variable, the constant is mastery of content and the variable is time. If the opportunity for personalized learning were made available to all students—and we believe that it can be—we could realize the potential for improving academic performance for all students, substantially reducing the disparities that have long been a troubling aspect of the American educational system.

This is the education every student can and should receive.”

They’ve bought off ALL sides of the political aisle.

At a town hall meeting in Coppell, Tx I asked our state representatives- Do you believe in “innovation in education”? Of course, all of them said yes.

I proceeded to tell them, the definition of INNOVATION is EXPERIMENTATION.

So, you are saying, you are for our schools experimenting on Texas students?

As a parent, I am NOT okay with my kids being used as guinea pigs and especially NOT with my tax dollars.

I want a choice for my child to NOT be a LEARNER IN A NETWORKED WORLD!

I want my child to be taught to read, write, learn math and know REAL history using proven methods of teaching from a teacher who can teach the subject without a computer. I am not against technology used as a tool, but I do not want my kids used for experimentation or their private personal data stolen for profit, using my tax dollars.

Dr. Sandra Stotsky is right when she says….  “Parents MUST REVOLT”!

The fact is, College and Career Ready/Common Core and School Choice limit education freedom!
It is interesting to note, in Texas the traditional “Independent” public schools like Houston ISD and Spring Branch ISD are also supporting School Choice Week! That is because they are tied into a non-profit organization called “Texas Aspires”. Texas Aspires is pushing the same vision as Jeb Bush’s Learner in a Networked world.

ALL are pushing “Innovation” (experimentation). NOT piloted and proven successful teaching of reading, writing, math, and history.

It is NOT Republican vs Democrat, Conservative vs Liberal, Pro Public school vs Anti-Public school. They’ve got people funded on all sides.

What is the end game…..
“Predictive Analytics” – as seen in this article featuring Houston Billionaires John and Laura Arnold, The Science of Giving- who have direct ties into Texas Aspires through Chris Barbic, seen below.

Texas Aspires- Chris Barbic

Predictive Analytics uses mined education data to create software programs that have the ability to predict the behaviors of students. This is also being used in the world of criminal justice to predict who the criminals will be. Judges are using “predictive analytics” in the sentencing of criminals.

Think of it this way.

Previously in America, your past did not determine your future. Now -through Billionaire funding, “Innovation” Schools of Choice legislation gives the access point to ALL students. It will be implemented, mandated and regulated by law, in the soon to come Next Generation of Assessments and Accountability. America’s next generation’s personal data portfolio will determine not only their future but their daily lives.

As stated by Yuval Harari:
“What will happen when the algorithm knows what is better for me than myselfThe authority will shift from the feelings of the individual to these outside algorithms.”
In addition, the Laura and John Arnold Foundation are directly connected to the push in Washington DC to “Evidence-Based Policymaking”.
From this memo: To Board of Advisors of the Coalition for Evidence-Based Policy

“We are now entering a new and exciting phase. Over the next couple of weeks, the Coalition staff (including me) will join the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, which is opening a Washington DC-based Evidence-Based Policy and Innovation division. I will be the Foundation’s Vice President of Evidence-Based Policy, responsible for strategic investments in randomized controlled trials aimed at growing the body of research-proven social programs, and in the scale-up of those shown to produce meaningful improvements in people’s lives. The Coalition’s operations will be integrated into the Foundation, where our team will build on and expand our core activities, including working with policy officials to advance evidence-based reforms in government social spending and conducting expert reviews of the evaluation literature to identify programs with credible evidence of effectiveness.”

On the Women On the Wall Communication Team Conference Call 1.18.2017, our special guests were Attorney, Jane Robbins, American Principles Project, Karen Bracken Tenn, ‘Starve the Beast’ education activist, and Cheri Kiesecker, Parent Coalition for Student Privacy. Our topic was the Commission on Evidence-based Policymaking and the potential overturn of the ban on a federal student unit record system.

So it seems, according to folks in power in Austin and Washington, the answer to education is to spend billions of dollars using “Predictive Analytics” to create algorithms so we can predict which kids will be the trouble makers. Not actually spend money to teach kids to read, write and know math, so they won’t be trouble-makers in the first place. This new 21st Century Learning “system” will basically deprive American students of having a = opportunity at success in life.

We must understand that “Education Reform” has a political purpose that is truly dangerous for our children and their future.

As stated earlier, the fact is, “school choice” limits education freedom.
School Choice Corporate Reformers are not pushing quality education, they are just pushing… “Choice” and “Competition”.

Who could be against “Choice” and “Competition” in America?

As my friend Michael Bohr correctly states…
“Parents, who are the first and forever educators of their children, are the only people who hold the right to determine “the best interests of their child.

Everyone one else has an agenda that puts their best interests over those of the child and they have done so by taking control of our government.

Their hope is that we continue to fight the false battles they lay down before us and forget that we, the parents, are the sole authority in determining the education and upbringing of our children.”

“SCHOOL CHOICE” IS THE MOTHER OF ALL PUBLIC/PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS, THAT WILL BE THE DEMISE OF EDUCATION IN AMERICA!

You must understand what has been written into the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), which is the re-authorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), originally passed in 1965, which opened the door for Title 1 federal dollars to go to economically disadvantaged students?

Anita Hoge clearly laid it out the danger for our children and their future…..

“Specialized Student Support Services” and “Direct Student Services” mandate equitable services to all private schools, the same as in public schools. This is referred to in the ESEA legislation as “meaningful choice.”

There are specific lists of providers that must be used, as well as, an ombudsman that will oversee compliance in private schools. This is where the mandate will force teachers to identify students as being At-Risk of not meeting College and Career Ready/Common Core as a disability and perform psychological services paid for by IDEA. These interventions are defined as positive behavior intervention and supports, PBIS, multi-tiered system of supports, MTSS, response to intervention, RTI, and early intervening services, EIS, etc.

These interventions are happening NOW because of the Flex Waivers.
By identifying students as At-Risk under Title I, ALL will receive psychological treatment and interventions on your children in private, Catholic, and Christian schools, as well as homeschools (defined as a private school.)

THERE WILL BE NO ESCAPE FROM THE COLLEGE AND CAREER READY/COMMON CORE OR THE PSYCHOBABBLE IN THE LEGISLATION.

Regular classroom teachers are being trained to identify children who would need services through PBIS, RTI, EIS, & MTSS.

Once EDUCATION SAVING ACCOUNTS (ESA)’s are in full operation, dedicated to each individual student, an individual career pathway meeting College and Career Ready/Common Core soft skills (Grit) interventions and a treatment plan which will be funded by direct student services known as psychobabble.
Because these specialized services are defined in the legislation as psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, etc, these services will be mandated. These members of the psych profession will be in a position for MEDICAID TO BE BILLED FOR SPECIALIZED STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES. This is your meaningful CHOICE.

Medicaid is on the scene as mental health wrap-around services. Your family and child will be assigned a case manager. This initiates an individual family service plan. The federal government has just walked in your front door and will have complete control of your children and their future. It is the “Knowledge Revolution”.

Knowledge Revolution

(THIS ORIGINAL PLAN WAS DRAWN UP UNDER SEC BELL UNDER THE REAGAN ADMINISTRATION UNDER THE NAME “KNOWLEDGE NETWORK FOR ALL AMERICANS.” http://files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/ED351771.pdf

Bell has written extensively about parents not being capable of raising their own children.)

It is the Soviet model, of scientific steering of society, it is “Upravleniye”.

As Moms and Dads, we need to step back and start asking ourselves a couple of questions…

1. Can we accept an educational program as a truly solid academic education that will serve our children and their futures well, if our children graduate from high school or college with the attitudes, values, beliefs, behaviors, and a worldview that we oppose, which has been presented by teachers trained to believe it is their responsibility to be the devil’s advocate, and who teach our children to question and even oppose the foundational beliefs of our families?

2. Is it more important for our children to receive college credits in high school, or more important to establish and protect their minds and souls?

3. If your child graduates from college and attains a great, high paying job, but no longer respects – much less believes – that they are worthy of a strong marriage, a free and prosperous country, and that by the grace of God anything is possible – have we done our best to give our children a strong foundation for a happy, joy-filled life?”
