Racial Justice in School- BLM Style

Please see the attached document provided to a Texas school district via training to address Trauma in Response to Killings and Mistreatment of Black and Brown Americans, by Dr. Marva Robinson, found here. I would love your thoughts on how to expose the dangers of Dr. Robinson’s School Counselor training. This training webinar was sent to me by a concerned taxpayer from a Texas School district using Dr. Robinson’s racial injustice training.

  • Are students being indoctrinated in schools by their counselors?  
  • Are student’s being psychologically profiled in their schools for racial injustice? 
  • Are the “Well Being” assessments in schools leading to psychological racial injustice profiling?
  • Will the psychologically profiled data follow a student’s education “Portfolio” for the rest of the lives?  

We are in dangerous waters here and I am trying to figure out the best way to expose and push back. 

I believe it is extremely important, and no one is talking about the Medicalization of our schools, as I along with others warned…

This atrocity of “The Medicalization of Our Schools.”

A view from the classroom of today would astound onlookers that mental health and social, emotional, and behavioral interventions have replaced academics. With these wrap-around mental health services and interventions into personalities, values, beliefs, and dispositions at school, teachers are expected and forced to monitor and collect personal behavioral data on our children that has nothing to do with education. Data is collected, logged into state longitudinal data systems, shared, and ultimately, exposes our children to ‘surveillance capitalism.’ This personal data is freely given and used by outside contractors, foundations, and businesses to create software, curricula, activities, and programs that delve into changing the personal qualities of children and their families according to a government set of objectives.
Schools represent a “captive audience” and as such, prime targets for social policy change.

It is a fact that Obama’s 2015 Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which reauthorized Bush’s  2001 No Child Left Behind (NCLB) federal legislation forced education to integrate with mental ‘health’. 

It is also important to note that the solution to “FiX” the trauma and issues of racial injustice, police killings, and mass shootings in schools, pushed in Washington, and at the state level, (now mandated by law) via “Multi-tiered System of Supports”, and in the media, is mandated mental health screening of ALL students. This screening would be pre-school through the workforce. And, we are now ALL “Lifelong Learner” so the term “students” goes far beyond K-12 education.
